Brian graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture in December of 2002, and a minor in Recreation and Parks Management. These combine his passion for the natural built environment with his love for playing outdoors.
After graduation Brian started as a laborer and construction foreman, then staff designer and project manager, for firms in the suburban Philadelphia region, State College, Pennsylvania, and Great Barrington, Massachusetts. He has been fortunate to study under award winning Landscape Architects with various styles that have allowed him to shape his own techniques and approach that continue to evolve today.
Square Root Design Studio began as a temporary solution during a recessive economy. It turned into an opportunity for Brian to use his years of experience on an independent basis. The result is a cutting edge firm that specializes in creating efficient designs without sacrificing style or function.
